Birth of an idea

After releasing his first digital solo album (A Dying Dream) Wess started to work on a second album (Magnetic Tides) that would be essentially instrumental, the idea was to describe the way we human beings interact on this small planet and how our subconsciousness influences the choices we make.

When he starded to compose the first track "A Strange Encounter" he thought that “The Unconscious Abyss” was a more appropriate title for the album.

The idea was to explore the unconscious nature of the human mind, a journey that questions our behavior and how important our subconsciousness is in the way we interact and take decisions.

It became obvious that music only was not enough to express such a complicated subject and that there was a need for a visual approach.

So came the idea to create a project where all sorts creative people (hobbyists or pro’s) could express their self trough their artwork and make this adventure also a way to promote their creativity.

Sensus Obscura was born!

A nonprofit project, for free distribution on the web.

Sensus Obscura became an identity as a group with their particular music style and the album "The Unconscious Abyss"  a project with the collaboration of graphic artists and animation creatives.
